NOW HIRING Group Supervisors & Assistant Group Supervisors
We are seeking to fill a Group Supervisor & Assistant Group Supervisor position in our Early Learning Center! These positions will plan and present age-appropriate activities for children. Salary is adjusted based on education & experience. Full-time and part-time positions are open. After school, Day shift, Monday to Friday, No weekends
Supervisor pay starts at $12/hour. Assistant pay starts at $10/hour. Salary is adjusted based on education & experience.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct preschool and school-aged children's activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
Qualifications:
- Supervisor Education-Early Childhood Education (Associates or Bachelor Degree)
- Assistant Education- High Scholl Diploma/equivalent, minimum
- Child Abuse, Criminal History, FBI Fingerprint, and National Sex Offender Registry Clearances at personal cost, reimbursable upon request at 6 months of positive employment
- Experience in the human service fields of Social Services or Child Development Associates Certification (CDA) with 2,500 hours of verified childcare experience relative to the care and development of children
- Pass a Physical Examination with Manteaux TB test
- Two letters of recommendation from non-family members
- Passionate about working with children, ability to build rapport with children, positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES: Overall responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to the following:

- Respond equally to each child’s feelings, needs, cultures, and abilities, as well as encourage children to offer ideas and allow them to make their own mistakes.
- Spend time playing and speaking with individual children in small groups while assisting the children in playing cooperatively with one another.
- Assist the children with self-help skills such as toileting and dressing.
- Planning and implementing daily program activities, coordinating activities of assistant group supervisors and aides.
- Assisting the director with designated activities.
- Make families/guardians feel welcome and comfortable by encouraging them to participate in the program and assisting them with getting involved.
- Guide any qualified volunteers or outside service providers so that they are both comfortable and competent in performing their duties.
- Ensure weekly lesson plans are posted for parents/guardians to review.
- Make certain that procedures are in place to screen visitors and to ensure that no one leaves with a child other than designated people.
- Maintain the classroom in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion, as well as assist in keeping the area free from health and safety hazards.
- Participate in cleaning and disinfecting the classrooms and toys.
- Attend staff meetings, in-service days, and trainings as requested/required (12 hours CE annually).
- Notify the appropriate person when supplies are needed or equipment needs to be repaired or replaced and keep a record of requests.
- Maintain attendance, medical history, and consent forms and give information to parents/guardians on center and community events outside the building.
- The employee must maintain a professional demeanor in all contact with staff, children, parents, state and local agencies, participants, and outside vendors.

NOW HIRING Janitorial Maintenance at Warren County YMCA – Warren, PA
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks with a focus on quality and efficiency to keep assigned room facilities clean, attractive, and ready for use. Report broken equipment, lights, etc., to the Maintenance Supervisor. Perform general maintenance and other duties as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor. Full-time and part-time positions available starting at $8.00 per hour with benefits for FT position. Salary is adjusted based on education & experience.
REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of one year of related experience

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: This job requires pride in work, common sense, and the ability to complete assignments in a professional and expeditious manner.
1. Sweep, mop, dust, clean windows, bathrooms, locker rooms, and set-up rooms.
2. Empty the trash. Perform floor care duties, including using various floor machines.
3. Perform outside care duties to include maintaining grounds and shrubbery, mowing and snow removal.
4. Clean and upkeep of pool area. Laundering towels, go-go bags, and cleaning rags.
5. Perform simple and routine maintenance tasks (i.e., changing light bulbs, etc.)
6. Perform and/or assist with more complex maintenance work on equipment and building.
2. Report necessary building repairs and problems to the Maintenance Supervisor.
3. Be alert to areas or items that need attention, corrects, and performs simple routine maintenance tasks (i.e., change light bulbs, unplug toilet, etc.) accordingly.
4. Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor related to this job description.

NOW HIRING Certified Pool Lifeguard- Warren County YMCA at C.A.R. Pool– Warren, PA
We are seeking certified lifeguards for the summer at the C.A.R. Pool in Warren, PA. This position requires a current lifeguard certification (YMCA or Red Cross), current CPR certification (for the Professional), current AED certification, current oxygen administration, and current 1st Aid certification. Part-time positions available starting at $15.00 per hour with daytime, evening and weekend hours available.
JOB SEGMENT
- Report to work dressed in proper attire (one guard suit and a whistle will be provided at the beginning of the season) and ready to begin work at a scheduled time. All lifeguards must wear the fanny pack (with gloves/pocket mask), the rescue tube and have a whistle at all times when on duty.
- Keep all certifications current and take all new certifications needed for this position.
- Take yearly training.
- Keep all clearances up to date (criminal, child abuse, FBI fingerprint).
- Enforce all pool rules consistently with a courteous and tactful attitude. Set a good example by abiding by the pool rules.
- Identify potential accident hazards. Be alert and prevent accidents.
- Scan the pool constantly (side/side & bottom/top). Respond quickly and intelligently to established emergency and accident management procedures. Know emergency procedures for the pool area.
- Perform first aid and complete accident reports as needed. Do not discuss accidents and other incidents with anyone except your supervisor. All incidents must be promptly reported with report forms handed in to the head lifeguard.
- Maintain daily timesheet reporting.
- Keep all equipment picked up and in the proper location.
- Report any broken equipment to the head lifeguard or Pool Manager.
- Locks and unlocks pool area as assigned. If locking doors at the end of the shift, you must fill out the close-out sheet.
- Set up equipment and return at the end of the day.
- Follow orders from the Head Lifeguard or Pool Manager.
- Do not leave your station for any reason except to rotate or take part in emergency procedures.
- Communicate with other guards to ensure the safety of our patrons. Use the whistle and rescue tube alerts.
- Report to work at assigned times. Guard is responsible for finding their own substitute. If no substitute is found, the guard must report at the assigned time.
- Represent the Warren Municipal Pool and/or the Warren County YMCA and maintain appropriate relations with patrons.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must remain alert, with no lapses in consciousness.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods, including in an elevated chair.
- Must be able to move to various locations, including in and around an elevated chair.
- Able to communicate verbally, including projecting the voice across distances, use alert systems (whistle and rescue tube), communicate swiftly and effectively with emergency personnel over the telephone and in person.
- Able to hear noises and distress signals in an aquatic environment.
- Able to observe all assigned sections of the water area.
- Able to perform all needed rescues and survival skills.
- Think in the abstract, solve problems, make decisions, instruct, evaluate, supervise and remember.
- Operate as a team with other aquatic staff.
- Must remain calm, objective and respectful in potentially stressful situations.
- Must be flexible and willing to adjust to change.
- Must be able to work in a warm environment for extended periods.
- Must be able to swim ¼ mile consistently to keep swimming skills current.
- Must attend all lifeguard training sessions.
