BE WELL WARRIOR

MISSION Be Well elevates wellbeing among all in mind, body, and spirit by fostering communication and collaboration.

VISION Be Well is the hub connecting people in a thriving community.

Be Well has identified a target population with whom we would like to work in relation to the Be Well Mission & Vision…the people of our United States Armed Forces. We are now working to assist those who put everything on the line to protect our county whether active duty, reserve, guard, veteran, or military families.

Be Well Warrior is a coalition of community members with three targeted missions.

Advocate
  • Community based training opportunities and instructor training for non-military and military individuals on military culture, suicide risk/prevention/intervention, firearm safety, military sexual trauma, moral injury, traumatic stress, brain injury
  • Network building to ensure access and awareness of resources and referrals to services
Engage
  • Opportunities for military, veterans, & families to engage with other warriors through a variety of activities, avenues for peer-to-peer interaction & connection
Support
  • Develop a system of transition support with community-based agencies for the boots on the ground approach
  • Provide ongoing access to peer & professional support with assistance connecting to resources in your community

Partnership is the only way we can succeed in our mission. Our current partners include Allegheny Outfitters, Allegheny Valley Vet Center, Amvets, Family Services of Warren County, National Guard Family Program, New Hope Assistance Dogs, Pitt PERU, Senior Helpers, Soldier On, Warren County Veterans Affairs, Women’s Care Center of Erie, and YMCA of Warren County.
