We all know or have someone in our life that has championed through many obstacles in their life. The following programs have been designed to meet the needs of our community members who are looking for support for family and friends in need of programs to support limitations in mobility, intellectually limited abilities, as well as social and emotional development.

Part of our Champion programs, this open art studio is for adults with intellectual disabilities. We will work together on a weekly project with step by step instructions. Every week will be a different focus using a variety of mediums and crafts. Held on Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30 am in YMCA Activity Room. Email email@example.com with any questions.

A social opportunity for children of all ages utilizing LEGOS to assist in developing social interaction skills while interacting with peers or staff. There will be LEGO challenges for any child to try or they can act independent and be creative with their LEGOS on their own. While youth socialize with Legos, there will be other activities/classes for parents to partake in while their child is engaged in this program. This is part of our respite care for families. This is a swimming & gym class for kids with special needs. This class is taught by instructors certified in Special Needs Aquatics. Participants will be divided into 2 groups of 10. One group will swim while a second group will participate in a supervised activity in the gymnasium. The groups then switch stations after 30 minutes of activity. Students attend during the school day and the program is integrated into their Life Skills program. Ask you school principal about this opportunity for your child. All children are evaluated and given a progress report at the end of the fall session. Held September 8th to December 13, 2019. Reserve a little special time in the pool for you and your friends. Book a private swim play date for your group of parents and friends. The pool will be your for 1 hour - plus you get a room to have a get together before your pool fun! If you desire swim lessons, please indicate at the time of scheduling. Must be booked at least 1 month in advance.
