The YMCA will hold its annual "Trash & Treasure" sale to benefit our LIVESTRONG at the Y program. We are looking for donations of items for our sale. Now is the time to go through your house and donate items to a worthy cause. All donations can be dropped of at the Y Monday, September 16th thru Wednesday, September 18, 2019. (No early donations as we do not have space to store.) Sale will be located in the West Gymnastium
All proceeds benefit our LIVESTRONG at the Y program.
Drop off items: Monday, September 16th - Wednesday, September 18th
Friday, September 20th from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Saturday, September 21st from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon ($1/bag on Saturday)

At the Y, we recognize cancer is a life-changing health event, one that can take a tremendous emotional and physical toll on those diagnosed with it. "LIVESTRONG at the Y" helps those affected by cancer adjust to their "new normal" and live life to the fullest.
Following an online voting campaign conducted last spring, 16 YMCA associations were selected as recipients of the "LIVESTRONG at the Y" program through the LIVESTRONG Community Impact Project. We are honored to have been selected to bring this proven cancer support program to the Warren County area.
"LIVESTRONG at the Y" is a free, twelve-week small group program tailored to serve adult cancer survivors, those before, during and after treatment. The program will take place at the Warren County YMCA beginning September 10th and will be led by specially trained Y staff committed to supporting each individual safely achieve his or her wellness goals.
"LIVESTRONG at the Y" leaders will help participants increase flexibility and endurance, build muscle mass and strength, reduce the severity of side effects and prevent unwanted weight change. The strength and cardio classes are customized to fit each infividual in their search to heal and find a new plan for healthy living. along with the fitness classes, the survivor will engage in other Y classes such as yoga, bouncing for fitness, silver sneakers, aquatic fitness and more. And those are just some of the physical benefits. "LIVESTRONG at the Y" also nurtures emotional healing and fosters important social connections.
