SUMMER DAY CAMPS

NOTE: It is required that children 9 and under be accompanied by an adult at all times while at our YMCA. No Front Entry drop off or pick up.

FULL-DAY CAMPS:
BIG-E-NUF: AGES 3-5/6 - NOT YET ENTERED KINDERGARTEN
SCHOOL AGE: AGES 6-11 - MUST HAVE COMPLETED KINDERGARTEN 

Full-day camps are held weekdays from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and will include field trips and swimming throughout the week. Adventures will be adapted for age groups within the full-day camps. Cost of camp includes a t-shirt, entrance to areas on field trips and supplies for themed weeks. Children need to bring a lunch and a refillable water bottle each day.**Campers must be completely potty-trained

Before/aftercare is available 6:00 - 8:00 am and/or 4:00 - 5:30 pm at additional cost of $30.00 for the week per child.

  • Each week will be a different theme.(See below).
  • Camps will be a "No Electronic Zone". Campers are to leave tablets, iPods, and other electronics at home. If a camper has to have a cell phone with them it will have to be stowed away and he or she will be able to use it after camp.
  • Campers may bring own sunscreen. Please send a labeled water bottle daily. Sneakers should be worn daily. Flip-flops for swimming only.
  • We are a nut-free facility.
  • Anyone wishing to attend both a Summer Day Camp and another program scheduled for the same week will need to pay for both. Transportation to and from these programs is the parent's sole responsibility. The Y will not provide this service. 
REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT

All registrations for Summer Day Camps are handled through the Child Care office beginning May 1st for children currently enrolled in our childcare. May 8th will begin open enrollment. In-house registration only. No online registration. To register, contact Amy Carlson, Childcare Coordinator, at 814-726-0110, ext. 112 or email amy@warrenymca.org. After registering your child, camp packet is to be picked up June 1st and returned no later than June 8th.

**Camps require a $10.00 deposit per child to hold spot for each week attending (Attending all 9 weeks = $90.00 per child). 
Deposit will be applied to camp rate and is non-refundable/non-transferable. Remaining balance is due the Thursday prior to camp week. Payment not made by this day will be charged a $20.00 late fee. 

No Friday or Monday morning sign-ups will be permitted!

Please note: If you receive subsidized child care monies from the ELRC, you will be required to pay any difference in what the ELRC provides and what the YMCA charges in addition to your weekly co-pay.

 

2019 School Age Full-day Camp for Children Ages 6-11 years (Must have completed Kindergarten): 
Cost:
Members: $130.00 per week.
Non-members: $160.00 per week.
Before/aftercare is available 6:00 - 8:00 am and/or 4:00 - 5:30 pm at additional cost of $30.00 for the week per child.

2019 Big-E-Nuf Camp for children ages 3-5/6 years(Not yet entered Kindergarten) 
Cost: 
Members: $130.00 per week.
Non-members:$160.00 per week.

** Additional child attending same week of camp - discount = 10% off camp cost.

2019 CAMP WEEKS

Swim Days: 
"SAC" will swim on Tuesday/Thursday afternoons (weather permitting) at the Warren City Pool
"Big-E-Nuf" will swim on Wednesday/Friday afternoons at the Warren City Pool

Field Trips: 
Field trips will be scheduled for 1 day every camp week.

WEEK 1: June 10th - 14th - Nature is Neat  NOTE: **Both age groups filled.
Campers will spend this week learning about and exploring the great outdoors.
Field Trip: Camp Onyahsa (Both Age Groups)

WEEK 2: June 17th - 21st - All About Animals  NOTE: **Both age groups filled.
We will explore animals through creative movement, music and games. We will also get to check out some animals up close and personal
Field Trip: Audubon Society (Big-E-Nuf)
Field Trip: Erie Zoo & Audubon Society (School Age)

WEEK 3: June 24th - 28th -  Life's A Garden  NOTE: **Both age groups filled.
Join us this week to experience the wonders of gardening. We will tend to our own garden as well as learn how and where things grow.
Field Trip: Hatch Patch & Conservation District (Both Age Groups)

WEEK 4: July 1st - 5th - Stars & Stripes Forever (No camp Thursday, July 4th. Cost will be pro-rated as a 4-day week.)NOTE: **Both age groups filled.
Campers will celebrate America's birthday with a beach trip and picnic. We will also spend the week celebrating our country, land and culture.
Field Trip: Chapman Dam & Betts Park (Both Age Groups)

WEEK 5: July 8th - 12th - Down on the Farm  NOTE: **Both age groups filled.
Let's get outside and learn about life on the farm! Riding horses and learning what farmers do is on our agenda for this week.
Field Trip: PineTon Farms & Horseback Riding (Both Age Groups)

WEEK 6: July 15th - 19th - Sports Week  NOTE: **Both age groups filled.
Teamwork makes the dream work. This week we will learn about the importance of being a team, along with exploring a variety of sports!
Field Trip: Russell Roller Rink & Beaty Park (Big-E-Nuf)
Field Trip: Erie Seawolves & Beaty Park (School Age)

WEEK 7 July 22nd - 26th - Edible Engineering NOTE: **Both age groups filled.
This week we'll spend time getting creative with and learning about different foods.
Field Trip: Pizza Hut/Chapman Dam (Both Age Groups)

WEEK 8: July 29th - August 2nd - Ships Ahoy  NOTE: **Both age groups filled.
Let's enjoy a week of scavenger hunts, games and pirate fun. Come walk the plank onto me pirate ship!

Field Trip: Scallywags Pirate Adventure & Allegheny Outfitters (School Age)

WEEK 9: August 5th - 9th - Harvest Fair  NOTE: **Both age groups filled.
How about we end the summer camp season with a visit to the fair and some beach fun! We will integrate our favorite songs and activities into our final week of summer camp!
