BE THE ADVENTURE! The Tango will be back for its 14th year on Saturday, August 3rd!.
As in prior years, this adventure race starts at 7:00 am with the 1st leg of the event - the 13.1 mile run. Participants will leave from the YMCA in Warren, Pennsylvania and run along the scenic Allegheny River toward Kinzua Beach within the Allegheny National Forest. Other segments of the race include 20 mile non-technical mountain biking, 2.2 mile out and back open water swim, orienteering course located over a 6+ mile course, short road or trail run (1-4 mile) and a final 7 mile out and back flat water canoe race on the Allegheny Reservoir with the finish at the Kinzua Beach.
The pre-race events will be held Friday, August 2nd at the Warren YMCA, 212 Lexington Avenue, Warren, Pa.. The pre-race team check-in & expo will begin at 6:00 pm and the informational meeting at 7:00 pm.
*Post-race: Festivities and awards ceremony will be held at the Kinzua Beach where there will be food and music to finish out the race.
Solo: One person, completing every event!
Two-Person Complete: Two person Tango where each person competes in all events together.
Relay: Up to 2-6 people may compete (pairs are required for canoe and orienteering legs of the Tango)
Special Team Divisions:
Corporate: All members must be actively employed by the same company with the exception of one (1) team member.
Corporate Community: Sponsorship by corporate without employee requirements.
Women's Relay: All team members must be women.
Open: Any combination of participants who do not qualify in the other team categories will be in the open relay division.
*Parental or guardian release signature required along with CEO approval for any participant under 16 years of age.

Kids ages 5-12 years are invited to participate in our KIDZ Tango Adventure Race on Saturday, August 3, 2019 starting at 10:00 am. This race is held in conjunction with our Annual TANGO Adventure Race and is located at the Kinzua Beach. Run, bike, swim, orienteer (find painted rocks with a map), kayak and slide to a spectacular finish on a water slide! This event is free and the first 30 kids to register get a free KIDZ Tango headband. Commemorative trophies to all. T-shirts available to purchase for that day. Pre-order $15.00 and day of event $20.00. Sign up at the Y Front Welcome Desk to participate and to purchase a t-shirt. Registration: Registration is from 7:00-8:00 am at the Warren YMCA. Bus transport will leave YMCA at 8:15 am and take runners to start line at Kinzua Beach.

Note: Registration will be at the Warren County YMCA, 212 Lexington Avenue, Warren, Pa. ***At 8:15 am runners will then be bused to the start line at the Kinzua Beach on the Allegheny National Forest.
*3 hour cap on finishing race.
The race will begin at 9:00 am at the Kinzua Beach and proceed east on Route 59 approximately 4 miles toward the Kinzua Dam. Runners will enjoy the scenic view as they run across the dam and then turn left down a steep decline toward Hemlock Avenue. The rolling hills of Hemlock Avenue will take runners approximately 6 miles to Pennsylvania Avenue where they will continue to a left on Irvine Street and then a right on Lexington Avenue with the finish at the YMCA.
Note: Five water stations will be located approximately every 2 - 2 1/2 miles throughout the course with the final station at mile eleven. (The 3rd station will provide Gatorade.)
