The Extreme All Star Cheer and Dance program at Warren YMCA is proud to be hosting our 5th annual cheer competition. Saturday morning February 9th for Scholastic Division and Saturday afternoon for All Star Division. Doors open at 8am. Spectator admission is $6 for adults, $4 for students and seniors, kids under 5 are free.

In addition to team competition there will be Mojigrams, jump off and tumble off competitions.

No previous cheerleading, dance or tumbling experience required! The Cheer/Hip Hop Teams will compete in competitions in Pennsylvania, New York and Ohio. Practices will focus on stunting, tumbling and comptetition routines. Practices will begin in August where participants will be evaluated by the coaches and placed on the team according to their ability.

Dates: Season runs from August 1, 2018 through mid April of 2019
Registration: NOW OPEN thru August 1, 2018 (Late fee of $20.00 if registering from August 2nd thru September 9th)

Parent Meeting/Contract Signing: Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Warren YMCA. Monies due at this meeting include: $30 registration fee if not already paid and August monthly payment.

Fundraising Requirements (per athlete):

Athlete is also responsible for:
Shoes, hair piece, make-up kit and bow (These items may be fundraised in addition to the requirement. Approximate cost $120)
$50 uniform usage fee - CHEER ONLY - Cannot be fundraised and is due at the user agreement signing.

Hip Hop Team members will be responsible for purchasing their own outfit, shoes, hair piece & bow.

Gym time during season will be provided for practices as follows:

  1. Tuesday: 5:00 - 9:00 pm (Half gym) (Minis Cheer 5:00-6:30 / Sr. 6:30-9:00)
  2. Wednesday: 5:00 - 9:00 pm (Half gym) (Jr. 5:00-7:30 / Jr. Hip/Hop 7:30-9:00)
  3. Sunday: 12:30 - 5:00 (Full gym) (Tinys Cheer 12:30-1:30 / Minis Hip Hop 1:30-2:30 / Adult Parent Cheer 2:30-3:30 / Minis Cheer and Jr.&Sr. 3:30-5:00)

** Registration for the 2018-2019 will be as follows:
The registration for the 2018-19 season opens May 1, 2018 and continues through August 1, 2018.
NO registration will be accepted after September 9, 2018.
**A $20.00 late fee added to registrations received between August 2 - September 9, 2018.

**Committment to Team:
Contract signing will be July 11, 2018. 
Due at this time is a $30.00 non-refundable registration fee is due if it was not paid upon registration. (This fee is used to register participant as a USASF member for competitions and insurance fee.)

.**Monthly Program fees:

  • The monthly session fee due before 12:00 noon on the 15th of every month beginning July 15, 2018 (This will cover August monthly fee) with the last payment due on February 15, 2019. (This will cover March 2019 monthly fee)
  • Payments will NOT be accepted at the front desk of the YMCA, instead there is a locked box marked 'Cheerleading' in the front lobby that all payments need to be placed into.
  • Please clearly mark the envelope with participant's name, team and amount being paid.
  • Payments not made on time will be subject to a $20.00 late fee.

*In addition:

  • Coaches reserve the right to place athletes on teams based on their skill levels.
  • Cheer teams are subject to combine depending on registration numbers.
  • Hip Hop teams availability will depend on registration numbers.
  • If an athlete is invited to perform on an additional team, a $50.00 fee and signed crossover agreement will be due at that time.

Financial Assistance/Memberships:
YMCA membership and program cost assistance may be available through the YMCA scholarship program. An application is required and takes approximately 2 week to process. The All Star Cheer and Hip Hop teams will hold open gyms for anyone wanting to learn how to cheer/hip hop or to improve upon current cheer/hip hop skills. Final week of Open gyms will begin Sunday, July 8, 2018 and will run Sunday/Tuesday/Wednesday through July 25th. *See Below.

During open gyms, participants will be taught fundamentals of cheerleading/hip hop such as motions and jumps. They will be instructed in tumbling as well as stunting. Proper form and safety will be emphasized. Registration now open for the July 8th session. Sign up at the Y Front Desk.

Open Gym Session #3July 8th - July 25th *This preseason trial week of open gym will follow the same format as season practices and will allow anyone interested in joining the team the opportunity to experience true insight on what is expected and how the season practices will be run, ensuring a good fit before signing a contract for the season. Practices will be further explained at the opening practice session on July 8th.

JUNE 25 - 29, 2018

Campers ages 3-5 and 6-18 will participate in a dynamic, fun-filled program combing dance, jump, tumbling and stunts. Parent observation will be held Friday, June 29th. T-shirts given if registered before June 9, 2018. Participants can join in the Annual 4th of July parade with All Star Cheerleading Team!
Registration begins May 1, 2018. Maximum participants: 48 (12 in each age group)
