YMCA EXTREME ALLSTAR CHEERLEADING/HIP HOP TEAMS 2019-20

No previous cheerleading, dance or tumbling experience required! The Cheer/Hip Hop Teams will compete in competitions in Pennsylvania, New York, West Virginia and/or Ohio. Practices will focus on stunting, tumbling and competition routines. Practices will begin in August. A skills assessment will be conducted to determine the best fit based on age and skill ability for team placements. Every athlete will make a team. (Date of assessment TBA)

Dates: Season runs from August 1, 2019 through May of 2020
Registration: May 1, 2019 thru August 1, 2018 (Late fee of $20.00 if registering from August 2nd thru September 13, 2019)
Registration Fee: $30.00 non-refundable
Monthly Fee: Member & Non-member rates. See below
Fundraising Fee: Cheer = $200.00 / Hip Hop Dance = $100.00 (See below)
Informational Meeting: 
Parent Meeting/Contract Signing: Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the Warren YMCA. Monies due at this meeting include: $30 registration fee if not already paid and August monthly payment.

Cheer Age Groups:
Tiny Novice: Ages 3 - 6
Minis: Ages 5 - 8
Youth: Ages 5-11
Junior: Ages 7 - 14
Senior: Ages 13 - 18

Hip Hop Age Groups:
Tiny Novice: Ages 4-6
Minis: Ages 5-9
Youth: Ages 8-12
Junior: Ages 10-15
Senior: Ages 12-18

* Coaches reserve the right to place athletes on teams based on their skill level.

Fundraising Requirements (per athlete):

Athlete is also responsible for:
Shoes, hair piece, make-up kit and bow (These items may be fundraised in addition to the requirement. Approximate cost $120)
$50 uniform usage fee - CHEER ONLY - Cannot be fundraised and is due at the user agreement signing.

Hip Hop Team members will be responsible for purchasing their own outfit, shoes, hair piece & bow.

Gym time during season will be provided for practices as follows:

  1. Tuesday: 5:00 - 9:00 pm (Half gym) (Jr. 5:00-7:00 pm / Sr. 7:00-9:00 pm)
  2. Wednesday: 5:00 - 9:00 pm (Full gym) (Mini & Youth 5:00-5:30 / Jr./Sr. 6:30-9:00)
  3. Sunday: 12:30 - 5:00 (Full gym) (Tinys & Mini Hip Hop 12:30-1:30 / Jr. Hip Hop & Tiny 1:30-2:30 / Youth, Mini & Stunt Group Conditioning 2:30-3:30 / Jr. Conditioning 3:30-5:00)

** Registration for the 2019-2020 will be as follows:
The registration for the 2019-20 season opens May 1, 2019 and continues through August 1, 2019.
NO registration will be accepted after September 13, 2019.
**A $20.00 late fee added to registrations received between August 2 - September 13, 2019.

**Committment to Team:
Contract signing will be July 17, 2019. 
Due at this time is a $30.00 non-refundable registration fee if it was not paid upon registration. (This fee is used to register participant as a USASF member for competitions and insurance fee.)

.**Monthly Program fees:

  • The monthly session fee due before 12:00 noon on the 15th of every month beginning July 15, 2019 (This will cover August monthly fee) with the last payment due on March 15, 2020. (This will cover April 2019 monthly fee)
  • Payments will NOT be accepted at the front desk of the YMCA, instead there is a locked box marked 'Cheerleading' in the front lobby that all payments need to be placed into.
  • Please clearly mark the envelope with participant's name, team and amount being paid.
  • Payments not made on time will be subject to a $20.00 late fee.

*In addition:

  • In addition to the mandatory session fees, participants will also be required to participate in Cheer Team fundraisers, with each participant responsible for raising $200.00. Hip Hop fundraising fee $100.00. If you choose not to participate in fundraising, a buy-out option of $200.00 and/or $100.00 is available.
  • Coaches reserve the right to place athletes on teams based on their skill levels.
  • Cheer teams are subject to combine depending on registration numbers.
  • Hip Hop teams availability will depend on registration numbers.
  • If an athlete is invited to perform on an additional team, a $50.00 fee and signed crossover agreement will be due at that time.
  • We reserve the right to change practice times to better fit all teams.

Financial Assistance/Memberships:
Program cost assistance and YMCA membership discount may be available through the YMCA scholarship program. An application is required and takes approximately 2 week to process. CHEER/HIP HOP SUMMER OPEN GYMS (2 WEEKS TO CHOOSE FROM)

The All Star Cheer and Hip Hop teams will hold two (2) week-long open gyms for anyone wanting to learn how to cheer/hip hop or to improve upon current cheer/hip hop skills. Open gym will held evenings. During open gyms, participants will be taught fundamentals of cheerleading/hip hop such as motions and jumps. They will be instructed in tumbling as well as stunting. Proper form and safety will be emphasized. Sign up for 1 week or both weeks!

**New for 2019...we now offer a $10.00 sibling(s) discount off Cheer/Hip Hop Summer Open Gyms. After the first child enrolls, each sibling will receive $10.00 discount.

CHEER/HIP HOP SUMMER CAMP (EVENING)
JUNE 24 - 28, 2019

Campers ages 3-6 and 7-18 will participate in a dynamic, fun-filled week of Hip Hop dance, Jump, Tumbling and Stunts. Participants can join in the Annual 4th of July parade with the Extreme All Star Cheerleading & Hip Hop Dance Team!  Parents are invited to observation day on Friday, June 28th. *T-shirts given if registered before June 8, 2019.

Registration: Begins May 1, 2018. (Maximum participants: 40 in each age group) **Must register at Y Front Desk due to necessary consent form. Bring insurance information.
**New for 2019...we now offer a $10.00 sibling(s) discount off Summer Sport Camps. After the first child enrolls, each sibling will receive $10.00 discount. Must register for the EXACT same Sport Camp.
