Held in our indoor pool, REAX rafting combines popular land workout formats like HIIT, Yoga and Functional Fitness moves with the instability of the raft on the water to provide an efficient core, strength, and FUN workout! Class size limited to 8. Register early to reserve your raft!

An exercise class with a music background performed in the shallow end of the pool. This class consists of aerobic movements and muscle toning. Some equipment is used such as hand weights, noodles, kickboards, and hand paddles, etc.

This class is for those suffering from arthritis, muscle ailments, or back problems. A certified instructor takes the class through a series of slow, gentle exercises in the water with a concentration on range of motion exercises. Participants do not need to know how to swim, as all exercises are performed in the shallow end of the pool. The hydraulic chair lift and portable steps are available for those who need help in or out of the pool. Held 2x per week on Monday and Wednesday.

Adult swim lessons can teach you to swim, improve your stroke technique and, more important, teach you to perform basic water safety skills. Ages 14 & up.

Back by popular demand! This Easter Egg Hunt is the only one in town! Children ages 3-11 years will swim in the pool searching for easter eggs above and below the water! Kids will collect eggs in the pool and redeem them for prizes. Children of all swimming abilities are welcome. (Children without appropriate swimming abilities are required to have an adult in the water with them.) All kids are to bring their own basket to this super-fun event! Deadline to register is March 29, 2023.

This course is designed to teach the basics of diving from the diving board. Participants can experience what it would be like to be a member of the WAHS swim team divers! This class is recommended for those who have prior gymnastics and/or dance experience, although not nececessary.
Katie Madigan, WAHS 2021 District 10 Diving Champion and current Clarion University diver, will lead this program.
Students MUST have attained Stage 4 level of Progressive Swim lessons and have a signed Swim Waiver on file. A minimum of 4 participants are needed to run this program. Sign ups now open at Y Front Desk.

Swim lessons designed for 10-15 year old Boy Scouts who are working on their skills to achieve their Boy Scout Swimming Merit Badge. Begins with the March/April 5-week session. Held on Tuesday/Thursday evenings from 5:30-6:15 pm.

A competitive swim team for boys and girls ages 6-18. Major emphasis is on stroke development, teamwork, and the development of the YMCA's four core values. Participants must be able to swim the length of the pool without stopping, using the crawl stroke. Must be a YMCA member to register. See "Swim Team" tab for complete program details. Registration begins August 10, 2022. All swimmers (parents) must complete a 2022-23 Swim Team Emergency Form at the Front Welcome Desk.

Days: Practices are Monday-Friday beginning September 2022. Meets are on Saturdays throughout the season. (Season runs September - March)

For anyone with a physical or mental handicap. This program run by the YMCA and the Don Mills Achievement Center is held on Friday evenings from 6:00 - 7:00 pm September through mid-May each year. Swim time is split between lessons and fun swim. Karen Lyle is the coordinator. Volunteers are always needed to help. The YMCA ADA /Family Locker Room is available for those needing assistance.

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience being a Mermaid! Certified instructor, Jill Hunter will teach swimmers how to swim like a mermaid, complete an obstacle course and pose for an underwater photo shoot. Cost of class includes the rental of a mermaid tail, mono-fin and a photo shoot in and above water. Participants will safely be taught how to use a mermaid tail, dive for treasure, blow bubble kisses, dive and roll.
(Must be able to swim the length of the pool, tread water for 1 minute and float on back. Level 3-4 of Progressive Swim Lessons qualify. Ages 6 & up. Swim waiver required. )
Cost: $60.00 for 1.5-hour session/per person

We are hiring lifeguards - get your certification and apply for a position as a Warren YMCA lifeguard!
This program is for anyone age 16 and older. Participants must be able to do the following swimming skills in order to pass the water pre-test: front crawl stroke, breaststroke, sidestroke, elementary backstroke, front dive, surface dive to bottom at 12 feet and retrieve an object, treading water and underwater swimming.
The course consists of ASHI Basic Life Support, ASHI Emergency Oxygen Administration, ASHI First Aid, YMCA Lifeguard e-lessons, and the YMCA Lifeguard course. After successfully completing all these, the participant is qualified for a lifeguard position anywhere in the United States.
**Begins with a water pre-test on Tuesday, March 28th from 6:00-7:00 pm. After successful completion of water pre-test, this 2-day course will be held on Saturday, April 15th & Sunday April 16, 2023.

This course is for swimmers ages 12-15. Participants will learn how to be a lifeguard, and earn their CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen certifications. They will gain experience shadowing as an honorary Junior Lifeguard. Classes are held Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30-7:30 pm and include both classroom and pool time. Must be able to attend all classes. (Participants who complete this course are eligible to receive a 20% discount off the cost of the Warren YMCA Lifeguard Course.)

The Warren County YMCA manages the outdoor Warren Municipal Pool located at 7 Pool Street, Warren, Pa. Season pass applications are available to purchase directly through the City of Warren at the Tax Office at the Municipal Building, 318 W. Third Avenue, Warren, Pa. You may also download the application, check fees, and read pool rules and regulations at http://www.cityofwarrenpa.gov .

Party Reservations: The Municipal Pool is a great place to hold a birthday party or other special event. For the 2022 season, parties may be scheduled during weekend evening hours and weekly after regular hours.
