Easter Egg Hunt - In & Under the Water!

This unique Easter Egg Hunt has participants ages 3 to 11 swimming in our indoor pool and searching for Easter eggs above and below the water! Kids collect eggs in the pool and redeem them for prizes. Children of all swimming abilities are welcome. If your child wears a bubble, they are required to have an adult in the water with them. Bring your own basket to the ONLY Easter pool party in town! Sure to be a super FUN event! Open to both YMCA members and non-members.

Health Kids Day - Community FREE Day

The Y is all about more...the more support, guidance and opportunities we give kids the more amazing qualities they'll develope. That's why we provide kids a healthy, caring environment of fun, learning and belonging to help them reach their fullest potential. And that's why we celebrate Healthy Kids Day, our biggest day of the year devoted to kids and MORE! Healthy Kids Day encourages kids to play more and to build a lifetime of healthier habits to help them grow and thrive. All activities are free and open to everyone. *Community FREE day on this date.

Champion Programs*

We all know or have someone in our life that has championed through many obstacles in their life. The following programs have been designed to meet the needs of our community members who are looking for support for family and friends in need of programs to support limitations in mobility, intellectually limited abilities, as well as social and emotional development.

*Firefly at the Y - Champion Program

Firefly at the Y is a grant awarded program for adults with intellectual disabilities. This will be a 5-week session beginning January 2, 2018. Participants may select from either morning, afternoon or evening sessions. At each class, the participants will engage in socialization, exercise, and a brief nutrition example; concluding with healthy snack and social time with their peers and staff. This is a free program that is provided to the Warren County YMCA through the Edith L. Trees Charitable Trust. Pre-registration is required. Email kim@warrenymca for details.

* Soccer - Champion Program

Champion Soccer is a community based program for young athletes with special needs. Our goal is to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl who has mental or physical special needs. The program will consist of five 45-minute session where youth will work with experienced coaches, volunteers and players to experience skill sessions, drills and games if applicable. *Interested in being a Buddy to assist a Champion Soccer Player? *Lego Club - Champion Program

A social opportunity for children of all ages utilizing LEGOS to assist in developing social interaction skills while interacting with peers or staff. There will be LEGO challenges for any child to try or they can act independent and be creative with their LEGOS on their own.

Times: 1:15-2:15 pm OR 6:00-7:00 pm

*Rainbow Swim (SNAP - Special Needs Aquatic Program) - Champion Program

This swim is set aside for anyone with a physical or mental handicap. Rainbow Swim is held on Friday evenings from 6:00-7:00pm beginning January 5, 2018 and ending May 18th. This swim time works on improving motor and social skills. The swim time is split between lessons and fun swim. There is NO fee for this program which is sponsored by the YMCA and the Don Mills Achievement Center. Karen Lyle is the coordinator. Volunteers are always needed to help. *Champion Splash - Champion Program

Reserve a little special time in the pool for you and your friends. Book a private swim play date for your group of parents and friends. The pool will be your for 1 hour - plus you get a room to have a get together before your pool fun! If you desire swim lessons, please indicate at the time of scheduling. Must be booked at least 1 month in advance.

**Winter 2018 - Just You and Me Kid (Parent/Child Fun)

Today's family is busy and committed to quality time with their kids. The Y is committed to that as well. This year our Family and Youth Department is selecting several days throughout the year for a special play date time for a child and a parent (or grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc.). One on one time in a quality setting with a quality program makes for great memories! Please select your parent/child fun play date below and put it on your calendar now. Ages 7 & up. (Note: Each class has a supply list. Cost for class is for TWO people - an adult and a child.) Please contact with any questions about classes and/or supplies needed.

Class #1 - Sculpting

Learn how to sculpt a figure; human, animal or abstract. You bring supplies below and we'll provide the instruction and fun! To complete the project, this class will be held over two days - Wednesday, January 17th and Thursday, January 18th.

Birthday Parties and Room Rentals

Interested in throwing a birthday party for your child, but lack the room to house it? The Y is here to help. We have swimming and Character Club Play Gym & Fun Zone parties to offer. School year parties are held on Saturdays from 2:00pm-4:00pm and Sundays from 3:00pm-5:00pm (Nov-Apr only). Summer parties are held Saturday mornings from 9:30 - 11:30 am. All parties are on a first come, first serve basis and must be booked at least one month in advance. We can accommodate twenty (20) individuals in a group for Character Club parties and twenty-five (25) individuals for swimming parties. A 50% non-refundable deposit and facility usage form is required two weeks before the date of the party.Parties are on a two hour time slot with the first hour in the party room and the second hour for the activity booked. Any child that cannot swim or wears a bubble must be accompanied by and adult in the water. All participants who will be swimming must have a swim waiver on file.

Room rentals are for a 2-hour block. All rentals are on a first come, first serve basis and must be booked at least one month in advance.

Municipal Pool Parties (Summer)

The Warren Municipal Pool offers private after-hour parties on parties on Friday, Saturday or Sunday evenings and small parties may be scheduled during weekday afternoons from 2:30-4:30 pm. All parties MUST be reserved in advance. Please contact Dani Mostachetti, YMCA Aquatics Coordinator at 726-0110, ext 116 or for available dates and costs.

Child & Babysitting Course - Spring 2018

This course is an ASHI (Amerian Safety & Health Institute) certified course. It will be held for youths age 12-15. Must be 12 years old prior to start of course. A minimum of 4 participants is needed to run the course (maximum of 10). Participants will need to bring a packed lunch.

Y Partnership Music ARTS

The Warren County YMCA in an effort to meet every child and adults' needs has partnered with the Warren County Music Conservatory to offer our members the enrichment of music instruction. Whether it is vocal or instrumental, the Warren Music Conservatory offers a wide range of choices for members who are interested in ANY GROUP CLASS that they offer. All Warren County YMCA members receive a 25% discount on their group class fee when a current membership voucher is presented at the time of registration.


In conjuntion with the Key Club of Warren Area High School and the Kiwanis Club of Warren, the YMCA is introducing a community youth program which will enhance your child's connection with the community by learning how to be a part of making good things happen. Youth Kindergarten through Fifth Grade will be guided by Key Club Teens and Adult Advisors on projects that are chosen to be caring and giving to our community. Such projects will include, but not limited to, collecting items for people in need, assisting with seasonal projects at the Y, as well as other local organizations. These meetings will be twice a month from 3:30 - 4:30pm at the WAEC. This program is free of charge. Please contact Kim Slocum at 726-0110, ext. 126 for information.

K-kid meeting dates: Program runs during school year. Please check with Kim for 2017/18 school year for enrollment opportunities.

These clubs are affiliated with the Kiwanis International and Sponsored by Our Local Kiwanis Club of Warren and Organized Through the YMCA

K-Kids: For youths in grades 3-5. This service club meets at Warren Area Elementary Center (WAEC) monthly. They help with projects around the school, at the YMCA and outreach projects at nursing homes. They have also made appreciation gifts for our police and firefighters. If interested in this club. contact Mrs. Megan Yeager at 723-9061.

Builder's Club: For youths in grades 6-8. This service club meets weekly at Beaty Warren Middle School. The club helps clean up parks, worked with the Beaty Pantry and volunteered with the Firefighter's Boot Drive. If interested in the club, contact Mr. Steve Parinella at 723-5200.

NOTE: It is required that children 9 and under be accompanied by an adult at all times while at our YMCA. Children 9 and under must be accompanied to and from programs/classes by a parent/guardian. No Front Entry drop off or pick up.
